When leaders avoid hard conversations, the cost
spreads quickly
Issues stay unspoken for too long
Team members become defensive or disengaged
Misalignment slows progress
Managers hesitate to give clear feedback
Most communication problems aren’t about intelligence or intention —they happen because issues are left unaddressed, feedback gets diluted, conflict is avoided and leaders say what’s easy instead of what’s needed.
Over time, these habits erode trust, lower standards and create friction that slows teams down.
Stronger conversations, earlier
The Robust Conversations Program gives leaders practical, repeatable tools to address issues early and communicate in a way that is both direct, respectful and effective.

Trusted by Leaders
Leaders across industries are stepping into difficult conversations with greater confidence — and seeing what’s possible when communication becomes a true leadership strength.
Hear it directly from them.
The tools for having robust conversations are genuinely practical — I keep the booklet on my desk and use it. A big shift for me was learning to use ‘I’ in a positive, constructive way, not a negative one.
The course helped me start with values and become more aware of my own values. I’ve been given tools for having difficult conversations — and I know they’ll be useful.
This course helped me recognise that I have good leaders — and I need to allow them to lead and make mistakes. The accountability tools, plus inoculation and ASERT, are practical frameworks I’m already using and will continue to use.
My key takeaways were the power language, Fight Clean, and inoculation — practical tools I can use in real conversations.
Inoculation is something I’ve already used in real situations, and it’s been really effective. ‘Above the line / below the line’ is great for self-reflection, and ASERT gives me a clear framework to organise my thoughts.
Inoculation was a key takeaway — it helps warm people up to the issue so they don’t feel blamed or attacked, and can actually listen. The ‘I’ messages make it easier to say what needs to be said without blaming.
